The Learning Council: Arbol Farmers Market

The Learning Council: Arbol Farmers Market

Blending educational, social, and health-oriented goals, The Learning Council (TLC) is a holistically minded organization that works primarily to make the Colorado school system a more equitable one, provide healthy food to its local community, and support social justice initiatives. Read the organization’s overview of this story product: The Arbol Farmers Market is an amazing asset to our community. It was started by The Learning Council in 2020 and operates from March through October. Community members have access weekly to fresh local food, live music, and social connection. This not only supports overall health and wellness from having fresh local produce and goods, but it allows for a direct connection to be made between farmer/maker and consumer. We consider the Arbol Farmers Market to be an educational opportunity. It also directly influences our local economy creating a resilient and empowered community.
