Southeast Stories: Solid Rock CDC's Farmer's Markets and Southeast Harvest Festival

This story product is from CEC awardee Solid Rock Community Development Corporation. The Corporation has been investing in healthy environments, housing, business, and infrastructure in Southeast Colorado Springs since 2018. In an area with a lack of grocery stores and many "food deserts", Solid Rock CDC's Farmer's Markets in Southeast Colorado Springs offer residents access to fresh, healthy produce and other locally grown foods at no cost. These seasonal Farmer's Markets, held once a month from July to October, supplement the Solid Rock CDC CommUNITY Food Bank's regular food distribution days, and create welcoming events for all ages - benefitting local vendors and patrons alike.
