Ruby — Queer Stories: Health Inequities in Colorado

This story product was submitted by Colorado Equity Compass (CEC) awardee Out Boulder County. Out Boulder County is an LGBTQ+ community center that advocates on behalf of Colorado’s LGBTQ+ population and used its funding to collect stories related to the social determinants of health. Ruby sheds a light on the inequities and shortcomings of the mental health system for transgender people as she shares her personal story of navigating the mental health system as a low-income, trans person of color.
