Kids on Bikes: Income

Kids on Bikes: Income

This is a story product from Colorado Equity Compass (CEC) Awardee, Kids on Bikes (KOB). KOB is a nonprofit organization working to increase the number of kids who regularly ride bicycles. The organization promotes the benefits of physical activity for children, by creating pathways for youth to earn their own bicycles and toolkits. Without question, income is a very significant barrier to entry for anyone wanting to use a bicycle in life, not just kids but adults, and we are able to ensure quality bicycles can become a tool for better health — especially for low-income kids and families. Access to a bicycle decreases dramatically as household income does.
