Focus Points: Fatherhood Fest Brings Families Together

This is a story product from Colorado Equity Compass (CEC) Awardee, Focus Points Family Resource Center. The Center serves thousands of diverse adults and many face some of the greatest barriers to educational attainment and economic stability in the state. The Fall Fatherhood Festival is a car show, ‘trunk’-or-treat, and farmers market celebrating fathers and families in the heart of Denver’s Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods. The inclusive, family-friendly event is hosted by Focus Points Family Resource Center, a nonprofit that offers a range of free and low-cost family services covering education, health, economic opportunities and family assistance. Focus Points knows that parents are children’s first and most important teachers, and therefore hosts programs and events like the Fall Fatherhood Festival to bring together families. Watch this video to see a glimpse of the event from 2021.
