  1. Educate Familiarize yourself with the levels of government and their responsibilities.

  2. Understand allowable activities Read about the definition of lobbying and any guidelines that may apply to you as an individual or your organization.

  3. Identify representatives Find the level of government responsible for your issue(s) and identify representatives at that level using the descriptions and resources in this section.
