
When COVID-19 forced the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival to shut down in 2020 and 2021, its future remained uncertain. Through community efforts, the festival secured new grants and grew its solidarity. Its return drew record-breaking attendance, celebrating Asian American culture through food, music, and dragon boat races along Sloan’s Lake.
